Welcome to Rasberry Havanese
At Rasberry Havanese we breed purebred CKC registered Havanese and have been operating in Calgary, Alberta since 2019.
The main focus of our breeding program is to raise puppies that are sound both in physical and mental health. All of our dogs recieve plenty of socialization and are raised among our family which includes cats, large breed dogs, and young children. Rachel Rasberry is a certified professional dog trainer and has owned and trained Havanese her entire life with her first havanese having being purchased back in 1996! At Rasberry Havanese we do puppy aptitude testing with all litters to try to place puppies with their most suitable homes and provide a one year written health guarantee with any puppy purchased, as well as further information regarding training, feeding, grooming and basic care. All puppies are examined for luxating patellas, and given a thorough health checkup, microchipped and vaccinated before they are placed in their new homes.
Our original breeding pairs were from Jomaran's Kennels whose owner passed the torch of her superb lines to us and whose kennel produced the first ever Canadian born Canadian and American Havanese Champions. As we primarily focus on "Pet" dogs and less on conformation we have not ventured into the show ring with our current dogs but we've had Rasberry Havanese offsping enter the ring to achieve excellent results. Show quality puppies are to be sold under seperate contracts to preserve the quality of our lines.
We have several litters of puppies each year, with a variety of bloodlines and colors available. We have also shipped our puppies across Canada and into the USA and are familiar with that process.
